Hannah is a textiles designer and embroidery artist, based in Hampshire, UK. She launched Hannah Burbury Designs® in April 2019, inspired by her love of designing and hand embroidery.
 

From an early age, Hannah has dabbled with all kinds of crafts. Whilst at primary school, she attended scrapbooking workshops with her mum and older sister. Hannah loves taking photos so enjoyed the process of creating memory books, using her snap shots, whilst journalling and embellishing the pages using an array of coloured cardstock and papers. Scrapbooking soon led Hannah to start making handmade greeting cards for family and friends. During her teenage years, Hannah began selling her handmade cards in her local library. This started with a small basket of handmade cards and soon led to a table full of handmade goodies!
 

After leaving school, Hannah studied Art and Design at college and Fashion and Textiles Design at University. This is where Hannah discovered her love of hand embroidery and screen printing. She enjoyed printing her own designs onto fabric and highlighting areas of the design with hand embroidery. Hannah graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2016 with a BA First Class Honours Degree in Fashion and Textiles Design.
 

In April 2019, Hannah followed her dream and set up her own small business – Hannah Burbury Designs®. She now enjoys combining all her passions together to produce her own range of modern hand embroidery kits.
 

All of Hannah’s designs are inspired by her love of flowers and nature. She often uses her own photos to help inspire her designs and colour palettes. Each design is hand drawn by Hannah before being screen printed onto fabric, ready to embroider. She has taken time to source quality natural embroidery materials to include in her kits. Hannah enjoys doing what she loves every day and hopes to inspire others to fall in love with the art of hand embroidery.
